Raven Zaal - What You Need to Know When Traveling With Your Family

Taking a road trip with your family for the first time can be quite a challenge, especially if you have a couple of kids in tow. Family travel can be exciting, but it does require proper planning. Raven Zaal likes to travel and offers a couple of tips for families traveling with kids.

Where to Go
Choose a destination that caters to the whole family. You will need to find a place where the whole family can have a great time, including yourself too. Remember the holiday is for the whole family. When choosing a destination, make sure it provides you with value for money. For example a trip to Sri Lanka will be great for everyone in the family, adults and children included.

What to Do
While the temptation might be to visit the popular high-tech theme parks, it could leave a hole in your wallet. Not all high-tech theme parks are the perfect place to visit as a family. A trip to a small fancy water park could be more fun than most theme parks. If you are planning on visiting the city, you will need to check out the local transportation that is available and use them to get around. A trip to one of the local parks will give your kids the opportunity to meet and play with other children.

Where to Stay
When you are traveling with your kids, you might want to stay at a sleek hotel that has great room service. Sometimes it is best to stay away from trying to cook meals while you are on holiday. Choose a place that has several amenities for kids such as kids’ pool, indoor and outdoor play area, etc.

Raven Zaal likes traveling to the beach, especially to the Gulf of Mexico for a holiday.

Raven Zaal - Plan Before You Go Hiking

If you are planning on going on a hiking trip, you will need to spend some time planning your trip. Hiking is an excellent way to exercise and stay in shape. If you have a Saturday afternoon or a couple of hours free during the week, you might want to use it to go hiking. Hiking helps you exercise your body and relax your mind at the same time. Raven Zaal has taken up hiking and believes it helps her stay in shape. Here are a couple of things you might want to think about before heading out on your hiking trip.

Determine Your Level

You need to be in good physical shape if you are planning on taking one of the longer hiking trails. If you are not physically fit, you might want to take a shorter trail. Do not try to take more than what you can handle. You don’t want to run out of energy half way up the trail, so make sure you can handle the trail before you set out.

Choose Your Hiking Trail Carefully

You might want to look trails.com to find a hiking trail in your area. Another good idea would be to ask your colleagues or friends if they know any good hiking trail. Once you have a couple of options available, look at what the trail offers in terms of difficulty before you choose one.

Inform a Buddy

Before you head out on your hiking trip it is important to inform a buddy of your plans. You might want to let them have a route map of where you are heading just so that they know where you would be hiking and what time you are expected to return. Hiking could be done solo or in a group, and it is important to let someone know where you are going. Remember it is important to stay safe while you are hiking.

Raven Zaal - Different Ways Essential Oils are Extracted

Raven Zaal is a certified holistic health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She is committed to educating, coaching and empowering women to help support their bodies to heal in a natural way using natural solutions and essential oils. Raven uses a specific brand of essential oils that she believes is the best in the market. Essential oils are extracted from plants using two main processes; steam distillation, and expression. However, a newer way of extracting essential oils called supercritical C02 extraction is fast becoming popular.

Steam Distillation

In this process, steam is directed through the material and vaporizes lighter chemicals in the plant material. The steam is condensed through a cooling process that generates two products; essential oils, and hydrosol, or hydrolat. The extracted essential oils contain oil-soluble molecules, and the hydrosol contains water-soluble molecules. Rose petals were distilled to extract essential oils and rose water.

Expression

The expression method is used to extract fruit based essential oils. The fruit peel is scraped or grated to release the oils. The volatile oils are found in the sacs in the fruit peel. The process requires great care and does not involve heating. Instead, it uses grating and scraping the fruit peel to extract the oil.

Supercritical C02 Extraction

Supercritical C02 extraction uses carbon dioxide as a solvent. The carbon dioxide is added and then eliminated to produce a high-quality extract that is very close to the composition of the raw material.
